Animal Aromatherapy can help improve the quality of your animals life if used correctly. Animal aromatherapy can help to improve their health and mood. It is best practice to consult with a therapist who has knowledge around animal aromatherapy prior to commencing any treatment. Essential oils tend to be difused or taken topically. They can be used internally if it states it can be used internally on the bottle but be aware of contraindications and the dilution amounts that can be used. Not all essential oils are safe for your pets and it is important that you use a practitioner who has knowledge of oils and how to use safely will all types of aimals. It is important to use a quality essential oil which has been diluted at the correct amount for the size/weight of your animal.
Animals use self selection of essential oils that are shown to them based on their health requirements.
Using the animals reaction the therapist can identify what oils they are drawn to help with the animals issues.
